Allen Harden We have all heard the Serenity Prayer (AA Prayer) in some form: …grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. The idea of finding a “serenity” that encourages acceptance is a big idea, and is manifest in teachings of most religious traditions. What gives us the capacity to gracefully accept things, especially things we do not want?
