We all know the histories that created privileged status for white persons in America, and are aware of a continuing culture of supremacy inherent in our nation. I want to talk a little more about how our ancestors did this through slavery and discrimination, settler colonialism and ethnic cleansing. How should we hold this legacy today? How can we work to prevent its perpetuation in the world of the future?

We will again partake in our Bread Communion Service. What does bread mean to you? How many ways can bread be made and shared?  This service is meant for all to enjoy and share the bounty of the Season.

 In this time of a scarcity of grace on the part of our government and society, one of our responses might include cross-class friendships.  Through them, we can learn a lot to fuel and inform our efforts for social justice.
