Feb 1 –Are You Spiritual? Should You Be?Rev. Allen Harden
Rev. Allen will ask us each to question if and how we are spiritual--how we hold and relate to aspects of our lives we don't fully know or understand. Are we attuned in some way to forces we can't observe? How are we connected to one another and to all things? Do we engage with some essence that is bigger than our living self? We will not suggest answers, rather we will elicit ways of knowing what feels spiritual from one another.
We'll be meeting in person AND streaming live on Zoom.
Feb 8 –Standing Firm in Difficult Seasons Lori Seaman
We all have seasons in our lives when everything is right in the world, and seasons that, well, not so much. “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” Standing fast in difficult seasons helps us encourage and support one another through dark times, facing our challenges with courage.
Second Sunday collection for UUPMI
Guest Speaker Bio – Lori was born in Chicago and has lived in Illinois ever since, grateful to be here even in the midst of a midwest winter. She and her husband, Jeff, have been married for 35 years, and each of them are convinced that they're the one who married up. They have two children, Jonathon and Jordon, who are out and about living their best lives. She is Mimi to her one year old grandson, Wyatt, who lives in North Carolina, which is entirely too far away. She wants very much to leave this world a little better than she found it.
