Sermon: Things break, sometimes badly: Considering tragedy and evil.

Things break, sometimes badly: Considering tragedy and evil. Rev. Allen Harden
Traditional religions have worn themselves out trying to explain why bad things happen and why evil exists in our world. They have the complication of explaining tragedy and evil in the world with a loving, omniscient, and all-powerful God. We UUs don’t have to justify God’s role in it, but we still need to confront disasters, tragedies, and the consequences of bad human behavior. Is there such a force as ‘evil’. Where does human misbehavior come from? Can it be moderated? Can it be removed?
