SUNDAY Morning Service ~ Oct 17 10:30 AM

Sunday Service IN PERSON & LIVE STREAMED on Zoom (link below)
We are meeting in person in the church parking lot. If you are unable to bring your own chair, we will provide one for you.

Rev. Allen Harden
Sermon: "Our Cathedral of Everything"
Wonder, awe, and mind-blowing mystery. The natural order and process of our universe is the greatest religious story. We constantly engage what is sacred – in us and around us – and we can benefit by holding the presence of nature, and our presence in nature, in reverence. How can we not feel humility, respect, and graciousness for the privilege of being alive?

BUC Spotlight

Taking a Stand!

The Social Action Committee and Green Sanctuary of the Beverly Unitarian Church strongly condemn the racist acts of vandalism recently found on several buildings in the neighborhood, including on the property of a fellow spiritual association. Beverly is a welcoming community and will not tolerate overt expressions of hate or racism.

WINTER FARMER'S MARKET & FAIR TRADE MARKETPLACE

SATURDAY, February 18, 2017 9 am UNTIL 1 pm Mark your calendar and get ready to bundle up and head over to the Beverly Unitarian Church. This annual event is such a win win. It gives us an opportunity to buy sustainably raised food while supporting our farmers in the winter months.

Invite friends to join you for a delightful mid-winter, Saturday morning shopping experience. The castle will be filled with a wide selection of locally grown organic vegetables, apples, herbs and mushrooms. You'll find tasty soups, cheeses, veggie burgers and delicious pestos to enhance your winter time meals. And let's not forget about dessert! Baked goods, cheesecakes and ice cream are a few of your choices. All this and… MUSIC by Anna Stange whose beautifully mellow voice will cause you to think there's an angel singing in the castle.

Co-sponsored by Green Sanctuary Group of Beverly Unitarian Church

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, ONE AND ALL!!!

December has been a month of one wonderful activity after another at Beverly Unitarian Church. Thank you, thank you to the "champions" of each event, to those who volunteered to do the work needed to ensure the success of a fundraiser and to everyone who attended with their smiles, goodwill and wallets. Being a small church has its advantages; members realize that everyone who is able has to pitch in and our neighbors understand that we need their support to thrive and continue our good work.

We began when the Women of the Castle transformed the sanctuary into a warm setting for BREAKFAST WITH SANTA. The steady stream of eager children and their families lasted for 4 hours and we each have our favorite memories of the event. Thank you, Char Lichtenfeld and all willing elves, for believing in Santa and serving up 250 breakfasts!

BUCs parking lot had the most beautiful trees in town thanks to Jean Hardy Robinson who `stepped up for another year as champion of the CHRISTMAS TREE SALE. 2016's polar vortex ending brought an added sparkle to tree sellers' eyes and very few trees remained homeless.

To help us with our decluttering attempts as well as our restocking joys, Pam Carlson gathered seasonal treasures and the castle foyer became SANTA'S HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE. The Boutique moved to the second floor to become part of the ANNUAL COOKIE WALK, a yummy happening after this year's CHILDREN'S HOLIDAY PAGEANT, "A New Star in Town." Our Religious Education Director, Amanda Price, and the children of BUC, make it happen every year. How we enjoyed the "awwws" and laughter that the children's performance brought. It isn't every day that we see an unlikely King Herod (Mike Wolf) and our minister (John Smith) turned into a turban headed king.

Hoping to see a fine turn out on Christmas Eve. What a way to end 2016!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, ONE AND ALL!!!
