Preserving Memories: History of BUC

Beverly resident Errol Magidson, a member of Beverly Unitarian Church and Men of the Castle, will again give his multimedia presentation of Preserving Memories: The History of Beverly Unitarian Church on Wednesday, May 19, at 7:30 p.m., in the Castle. This encore presentation will honor the founders of BUC and commemorate the 50th anniversary of the children’s annex. At this presentation will be Helen Malevitis, who was the director of the nonsectarian Castle preschool for 30 years, and Jack Simmerling, nationally-known local artist and historian.

The photo to the right is of a famous Beverly resident whose connection with the Castle will be revealed at the upcoming presentation. He is one of several famous people associated with the church that includes Clarence Darrow and Preston Bradley .
