I will discuss what we are as a church community and what we expect to be and to do as a church. We are asking you to pledge to support our programs, and I remind you that this is something we do because it is what we want. This church practices personal growth and formation and promotes social action and transformation.
Helping us remain vital requires the effort and the financial support of all of us.

We're gearing up for the church stewardship campaign, with this year's theme being "Thrive." The campaign kick-off will be on Sunday, April 7th. Please join us for a meal after the service, and even a harmonica tune or two from Jeff Pinzino. As you may know, we've lost several pledging members in the past few months. If you are able to increase your pledge this year, it would help us to keep pace for the coming year. Fish love is the kind of love where you say "I love fish" -- and then you eat them.  It's a self-centered love.  True love is a mutual love, where you put the partner's needs and wants equal to your own. How do you get from one to the other?

Another Free Lunch!
Sunday, April 14 right after the service, there will be a Brainstorming Lunch Meeting about the rebirth of a BUC Property Committee. We've got a dozen great minds attending already, but I don't want to leave anyone out who has both ideas and the will to help in large or small ways to keep our Castle buildings and grounds in shape. Here's an example: Ken Small has volunteered to be Boiler Man and Gretchen Bernard has volunteered to be his apprentice. This does not mean Ken knows how to fix the boiler, but he will understand its controls and learn when and who to call to do the job if needed.
