Our Church Family

The Membership and Publicity Committee needs your help to make BUC grow in numbers and spirit. Please look over the following list, and let the respective coordinators know what interests you.

WELCOMING VISITORS: This task is coordinated by Margaret Vandiver (773-239-8410). Related activities include greeting visitors, recognizing returning visitors, and follow-up.

COFFEE HOUR: Everyone loves a cup of coffee and a treat! The coordinator for Hospitality (coffee hour) is Nancy Caddigan. (773-445-6508).

INTEGRATING NEW MEMBERS: This task is coordinated by Fran Sowa (708-423-6392) and Rev. Ana Levy-Lyons (773-233-7080). Related activities include reaching out to frequent visitors, orientation of prospective members, and incorporating new members into BUC worship, events, and projects.

RETENTION OF ESTABLISHED MEMBERS: This task is coordinated by Pat Haynes (773-445-8195), Margaret Vandiver (773-239-8410), and Helen Swan (773-779-9111). Related activities include outreach to homebound members and inactive members, as well as communication to the BUC Family regarding those members.

PUBLICITY AND MARKETING: This task is coordinated by Allan Lindrup (773-643-8061). Related activities include mail and media campaigns targeting the un-churched population who may be open to our message.
