Spring Dinner Concert

May 6, 2017 - 7:00pm - 10:00pm
Members of the Beverly Unitarian Church view "The Castle" as our church home and we are proud that the Beverly community considers "The Castle" an icon. On May 6th, the entire southside community has an opportunity to show support for the caretakers of "The Castle" while having a wonderfully good time with neighbors.

Eclectic, live performances of music (and more) by members and friends of the BUC brings a "Saturday night live" right into Beverly's very own Givens castle! Singing, piano, poetry, guitar, woodwinds, brass and more along with good food will all be happening and a fine turn out will help guarantee the ongoing upkeep of one of Beverly’s most beautiful landmarks.
We are proudly accessible.

Christmas Tree Sale Extended

Last weekend the snow fell... and fell... and continued to fall. Winter wonderland vistas were everywhere, including on our Christmas Tree lot. The trees are beautiful and looking for a good home so our 4 day sale has become our five day sale. Help us have another sell out year and or stop by to lend a hand to the cold volunteers.

Saturday, December 17 from 11 AM until 5 PM

Castle Auction 2014 = Huge Success!

Forty-five church volunteers were fine hosts for the friendly crowd who attended Castle Auction 2014. The event was a community building, FUNdraising success! The evening was a whirlwind of activity beginning with the second floor sale that was filled with interesting and eclectic displays of conversation pieces and beautiful collectibles alike. Odella Hampton's savory appetizers kept everyone satisfied as they browsed for their treasures. Later in the evening, on the first floor, Bill Robinson, a charming and most entertaining auctioneer, and his Vanna, Linda Petersen, presented us with an wide array of items that were so interesting, people just could not resist. There was only one item in the live auction that was not sold!
Bidders were lively and most willing to dig deep into their generous pockets, not to mention the generosity of the donors of all the items. An original Comiskey Park chair, beautiful clocks, a vibrant hand stitched quilt, Native American - Santa Clara pottery and a Jack Simmerling signed lithograph of the castle were the items that pleased the most. The event netted nearly $7,000; we are pleased and grateful!
