OWL Program Starts January 18

Beverly Unitarian Church offers OWL Sexuality Education Program for 7th to 9th Graders. The winter program runs for 12 weeks, beginning with a mandatory parents’ orientation on January 18 at 7:00 pm. Students meet most Sundays from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

OWL, which avoids religious reference, was developed by the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ out of concern that young people need to better understand their sexuality and the implications of their behavioral choices for their overall well being.OWL facilitators model program values while respecting and honoring participants’ existing belief systems.

more information on OWL visit Our Whole Lives on the web, at http://www.uua.org/religious education/curricula/ourwhole/. For more information about the OWL program at the Beverly Unitarian Church, call us at 773.382.8OWL. One of our OWL facilitators can answer your questions.
