SUNDAY November 11 ~ 10:30 AM

Member in the Pulpit: Rev. Marcia Curtis
Sermon: "We Are Stardust"
One function of religion is to provide a sacred narrative, a sacred story, that informs and shapes people's stories of how their own lives are part of something bigger, more meaningful than they are alone. Some Unitarian Universalists have rejected the sacred narratives of the religion that they were born into; others may treasure those stories still, but hold them as being in the realm of myth. Because of our theological pluralism, we often borrow from the sacred narratives of the major world religions -- but what is our sacred narrative, our overarching story that helps us make sense of our place in the universe and connects our own life stories to an overarching narrative that can help us experience transcending mystery and awe?

Buddhist Meditation

Reverend Marcia Curtis invites you to participate in a Buddhism-based meditation in a group setting. Join us Sundays at 7:30pm in the church sanctuary. Newcomers welcome.
