SUNDAY December 30 ~ 10:30 AM

Members in the Pulpit: Ken & Adair Small
"Taizé for the New Year"
Welcome in the new year reflectively with meditative singing. In the south of Burgundy, France lays a small village called Taizé. This village founded over seventy years ago by Brother Roger is home to a monastic community devoted to prayer and reconciliation. This style of meditation uses a kind of repetitive prayer set to simple musical lines. Come and immerse yourself in the profound harmonies and let yourself be carried by this sung prayer. You may come just to listen, participating only if you choose. Enthusiasts may show up early, at 9:30, to become more familiar with the music & the process.

December 24: Christmas Eve Service, 4:30pm Rev. David
New friends and old, members and members of the larger community are warmly invited to gather for our annual Christmas Eve Service.

December 24: Christmas Eve Communion Service, 9:00pm Rev. David

Against fear and hate, Jesus’s message calls for revolutionary love in the face of empire. A short and intimate service, open to all beliefs, held at the First Unitarian Church of Chicago, 5650 South Woodlawn.
